Judy Kathryn Puckett, 66, of Lenexa, Kansas departed this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at her home after a long illness.
Judy was born August 31, 1945 in Harrisonville, Missouri the daughter of Ralph and Viola (VanScoy) VanCamp and graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1963.
In 1971, Judy was united in marriage to James Puckett of St. Joseph, Missouri.
Judy was employed as a clerk in the records department of the Overland Park Police Department for 19 years until her retirement in September of 2011. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James; an infant brother, Ralph VanCamp Jr.; an infant sister, Betty Ann VanCamp; a brother and sister-in-law, Conrad and Geneva VanCamp; a sister, Carol Schmidt.
Judy is survived by a daughter, Nikki Fee and two grandsons, Allen and Noah, St. Joseph, Missouri; and long time best friend, Meyra Redmon; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
