Alice Callahan

Mrs. Alice Marie Callahan of Kansas City, Missouri was born July 20, 1929 in Harrisonville, Missouri the daughter of John Edman and Cathrean Alice (Miller) Siens. She departed this life Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City at the age of 78 years, 2 months and 21 days.
Alice grew up in Mindenmines, Missouri and graduated from high school in 1947. Later, Alice moved to Kansas City and was employed at BMA where she was introduced to Joe Callahan by his sister, Patti a co-worker and friend. They were married on August 26, 1950 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church and raised two children. Through the years, she became a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph R. Callahan of the home; a son, James D. Callahan and wife, Bridget; a daughter, Janice Lyn Callahan all of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandsons, Andrew, Brandon, Courtney Callahan and wife, Jennifer; six great-grandchildren, Jackson, Lane, Zach, Bryce, Bailey and Taylor; a brother, Robert Siens, Overland Park, Kansas; a sister, Betty Brummett, Raymore, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
