Alice Henry

Mrs. Alice Loraine Henry of Harrisonville, Missouri was born February 24, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Harry Benjamin and Vera Maude (Forester) Steele. She departed this life Wednesday, May 17, 2006, Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 23 days.
Alice was a homemaker and earlier was employed as a waitress for Harvest House Restaurant, Harrisonville. She was baptized at the Coleman Baptist Church near Harrisonville. Alice had lived in Garden City, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville. She was a mother and grandmother to everyone and enjoyed her family and friends.

Besides her parents, Alice was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Henry; a brother, Herbert Baumhoff; three sisters, Helen Skipper, Grace Rhew and Rosalene Stuckman.
She is survived by two sons, Larry D. Henry and wife, Shirley, Harrisonville, Missouri, Dewey Henry, Garden City, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Diana, Brandon, Lori, Lindsey, Tracey, Heather and Brent; four great-grandchildren and are expecting two great-grandsons; two brothers, Robert Steele, Belton, Missouri, Eugene Steele, Ft. Worth, Texas; two sisters, Vivian Makowshi, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Irene Mainard, Garden City, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2006 at Dickey Funeral Home, 2401 E. Mechanic Street, Harrisonville, Missouri with interment in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
