Arvel Kincaid

Arvel Robert Kincaid, 70, of Pleasant Hill, was born, March 1, 1947, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Robert "Freddie" and Frankie (Jones) Kincaid. He departed this life Thursday, March 9, 2017, at his home in Pleasant Hill.
Arvel attended the Climax Springs Schools, later graduating from the Kansas City Barber College.
He was a proud United States Army veteran.
On June 8, 1968, he was united in marriage to Beverly S. Czeschin at the Napoleon United Methodist Church.
Arvel owned and operated the Raymore Barber shop for 36 years, retiring in July 2007. It was the second oldest business in Raymore. He attended the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, was a member of the National Rifle Association, and the Barbers Union. He loved hunting, fishing, horseback riding, but especially loved playing with his grandchildren.
Arvel was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carolyn Thurn.
He is survived by his wife Beverly of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Christie Kincaid of Pleasant Hill; one daughter and son-in-law Shannon and Shawn Carver of Pleasant Hill; 4 grandchildren, Kaycee Kincaid, Kolton Kincaid, Grant Carver and Logan Carver; two sisters, Donna Collins of Raytown, and Margarette Findley of Centerview; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home. Pastor Dave Owsley will officiate. Graveside military services and interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with full military honors by the V.F.W. Post #3118 Honor Guard. Casket bearers are Steven Czeschin, Dale Collins, Rod Findley, Tony Findley, Larry Thurn, Jr., and Jeff Stuenkel.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri Department of Conservation and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
