Barbara Ann Britton Sites was born July 5, 1959 at Whiteman AFB, KnobNoster, Missouri.  She attended elementary school at Weston, Mo and graduated high school from Oroville, California in 1977.  After graduation she moved to Creighton, MO to help take care of her grandparents, who operated the local Fountain Inn.  She met and married Kent Eugene Sites in 1984.  Barbara brought a two year old son Joshua Levi into the marriage and a daughter, Brandy Lynn was born in 1985.  They made their home in Creighton for 40 years. 

Barbara was employed at Butte Forestry in California, Casco in Harrisonville, Missouri, and SCAMP Machining in Belton, Missouri.  Ill health has kept her at home for the last 15 years with several stays in the hospital and she passed from this life on April 24, 2023 at Research Hospital in Kansas City, MO.

Barbara enjoyed rock and roll music and dancing.  She was an avid movie watcher and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving Barbara are her husband Kent Sites of the home in Creighton, MO, a son, Josh Sites and wife Jill of Palmetto, Florida and three grandchildren Ellis Jaymz a member of the USMC serving in Japan, Alexis Rayne of Harrisonville, MO, and BreeAnna Fayth of Palmetto, Florida; and daughter Brandy Kariuki and three grandchildren Jasmine K Charlene Kariuki, and Triston Cole and Jax Creed McKenzie of Creighton, MO, her father Ray Weeks and wife Marie of Roseville, California and mother Gretchen Britton and Tony Connors of Clinton, and a brother Scott Weeks of San Martin, California and a group of family and friends. 

She was preceeded in death by grandparents Leola and William Denning (grandma and grandpa Dairy Queen) Creighton; and Uncle Bruce and Aunt Jeannette Daniels Creighton; and an uncle Dennis Denning of Kansas City.

Cremation/Inurnment will be at Grant Cemetery, Creighton, Missouri at a later date.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Creighton Community building, Creighton, Missouri.

Memorial contributions may be made to Training Center Christian School, Garden City, Missouri and may be sent in care of Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri.
