Betty “BJ” Ann (Kisor) Schuster, 74, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born, September 16,1945 in Bucyrus, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence E. and Ruth E. (Milstead) Kisor. She departed this life Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at her home surrounded by loved ones and family.
BJ was a 1963 Bucyrus High School graduate.
On September 15, 1990, she was united in marriage to Carl A. Schuster in Marion, Ohio.
BJ had been employed as the Executive Director for the Ohio Jaycee’s and as a Human Resources Professional for Omnicare Pharmaceutical’s of Kansas City. She was a member of the St. Bridget Catholic Church, Pleasant Hill. She had also been actively involved with Eva Moore’s Performing Arts Center, Strasburg PTO, and Pleasant Hill Girl Scouts. She enjoyed working in her garden, caring for all her animals, bird watching, boating and traveling.
BJ was truly selfless always putting others before herself and was joy to all who knew her.
BJ was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carl; her daughter and son-in-law, Victoria “Vicki” and Robbie Loren; and her brother, Ronald Kisor.
She is survived by one brother Ralph (Annie) Kisor of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; one son Gene(Louise) Jury of Marion, Ohio; two daughters, Jackie (Jamey) Hobbs, and Amy Schuster, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren, Cameron (and Natalie Holl) Loren of Rolla, Missouri,Olivia Loren of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Drew Hobbs and Alex Hobbs, both of Cincinnati, Ohio and Carter Jury of Marion, Ohio, lifetime best friend Dana “DD”(and Dave) Young of Bucyrus, Ohio, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2019, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the funeral home. Father Curt Vogel will officiate. Cremation is to be accorded following the service. Inurnment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Bucyrus, Ohio, at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lone Jack Education Foundation and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
