Mrs. Betty Joe Ammerman of Archie, Missouri was born March 31, 1935 in Boliver, Missouri the daughter of Joe Oliver and Mildred (Howard) Brown. She departed this life on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Saint Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 74 years, 8 months and26 days.
On June 8, 1952, Betty Joe was united in marriage to David Willard Ammerman in Boliver, Missouri.
Betty Joe was a homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, Missouri. She was the wedding coordinator for all of her families weddings from sewing all of the wedding gowns to baking the wedding cake. Betty Joe enjoyed her family, cooking and sewing. She had moved to Archie in 1972.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Ammerman and a sister, Norma Jean Bridges.
She is survived by her husband, David W. Ammerman of the home; four sons, Dennis Ammerman, Rich Hill, Missouri, Donald Ammerman and wife, Julie and John Ammerman and wife, Jackie all of Archie, Missouri, Paul Ammerman and wife, Jennifer, Peculiar, Missouri; four daughters, Charlotte Christiansen and husband, Delwyn, Pam Jones and husband, Thad, Margo Guss and husband Dale all of Archie, Missouri; Monica Raines and husband, William, Kansas City, Missouri; twenty-four grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; four brothers, Howard Brown, John Brown and Marlyn Brown all of Springfield, Missouri, Dale Brown, Boliver, Missouri; her sister, Rosalie Tindle, Springfield, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Mass were held Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Harrisonville, Missouri.
Graveside service and interment were held Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Greenwood Cemetery, Bolivar, Missouri.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
