Beverly Janet Baker of Harrisonville, Missouri was born July 17, 1936 the daughter of William R. and Bernice Marie (Brown) Flanery. She departed this life on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at her home near Harrisonville at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 21 days.
On May 20, 1955 Beverly was united in marriage to Walter Earl Baker in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Beverly was employed as a caseworker for the Cass County Division of Family Services in Harrisonville for 20 years until her retirement. She was lifelong area resident and a 1954 graduate of Harrisonville High School. Beverly enjoyed her family listening to country music and line dancing.
Besides her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by two brothers, Derrel and Larry Flanery; two brother-in-laws and a sister-in-law.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Earl Baker of the home; three daughters, Brenda Baker and Roxanne Baker both of Harrisonville, Missouri, Vicki Lock and husband, Jay, Lenexa, Kansas; four grandchildren, Kristin Lock, Tylar Lock, Jayson Lock and Jake Baker; her brother, John Flanery and wife, Shara; Archie, Missouri; three sisters, Freda Cummings, Grandview, Missouri, Ann Brown and husband, Bob, Archie, Missouri, Sue Pippin, Archie, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life Service was held June 11, 2014 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
