Billie Sue Jenkins

Mrs. Billie Sue Jenkins of Drexel, Missouri was born January 27, 1934 near Urich, Missouri the daughter of E.J. Mendenhall and Marjorie Louise (McCoy) Mendenhall. She departed this life Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at her home at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 29 days.
On November 27, 1952, Billie was united in marriage to Charles Hale Jenkins in Urich, Missouri.
Billie was employed as a secretary in the Accounting Department for City Service Oil Company, Kansas City, Missouri for many years. She was also employed by Kansas City Power and Light and TWA. After her retirement, Billie enjoyed her home and working in the yard. She was a member of the Salvation Lutheran Church, where she remained a faithful member until her death. Billie was a 1951 graduate of the Creighton, Missouri High School.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Carl William Polzin and a brother, Robert Joe Polzin.
She is survived by her husband, Charles H. Jenkins of the home; a sister, Nancy Smith and husband Gary and a sister-in-law, Sharon Polzin all of Creighton, Missouri; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Herbert and Carol Parker, Independence, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Saturday August 29, 2009 at Salvation Lutheran Church, 27506 E. 283rd, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701 with burial in the Grant Cemetery near Creighton, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
