Robert Joe “Bobby Joe” Morris Jr. of Harrisonville, Missouri was born June 6, 1952 the son of Robert Kemp and Audrey Lee (Moreland) Morris. He departed this life on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the home of his sister surrounded by love and family at the age of 59 years, 5 months and 21 days.
On August 14, 1971 Bobby Joe was united in marriage to Sandra Kay Kagarice in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Bobby Joe was employed as an assembler for General Motors at the Leed’s, Fairfax and the Ft. Wayne, Indiana plants until his retirement. He enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing with his parents, riding motorcycles, automotive repair work, attending truck and tractor pulling contests and building motorcycle trikes. Bobby Joe was a member of the UAW Local 31, Kansas City, Missouri an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, the Cass County Elks Lodge and had served as a Harrisonville volunteer firefighter. He was a lifelong area resident.
Bobby Joe is survived by the mother of children, Sandra K. Morris; two sons, Rob Morris and Kenny D. Morris; a daughter, Kristy N. DeMaranville and husband, Robbie all of Harrisonville, Missouri. four grandchildren, Echo, Dakota and Shyla DeMaranville, Jacob Morris; his parents, Robert K. and Audrey Morris, Garden City, Missouri; his companion, Teresa Titus, Pleasant Hill, Missouri’ a sister, Vikki Troyer, Garden City, Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life Sevice was held Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missorui. Cremation.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Advantage.
