Bonnie Green

April 25, 1914 — December 6, 2005

Mrs. Bonnie Louise (Gregg) Green of Garden City, Missouri was born April 25, 1914 near Creighton, Missouri the daughter of George Alpha and Carrie Abigail (Hill) Gregg. She departed this life Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 11 days.
She accepted Christ as her Savior when she was 12 years old, and was baptized into the Creighton Christian Church. She was a true believer in Jesus Christ ever since.
After attending college in Warrensburg, she taught at Dover rural school before moving to Mojave, California.
On November 8, 1936, Bonnie was united in marriage to Johnnie L. Green, at the Mojave Congregational Church. She and Johnnie loved traveling together and Bonnie also enjoyed playing the piano, writing poetry, growing flowers, painting and sewing, handwork and most of all homemaking.
Bonnie and Johnnie moved in 1975 from California to Missouri, where they joined the Creighton Christian Church. Altogether, she taught Sunday School for over 60 years, often writing Bible lessons for the young people she loved to teach. She also played piano for the services for many years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Green on November 13, 1999 and many other loved ones.
She is survived by one brother, Frank Gregg, Creighton, Missouri; two sisters, Berniece Garey and Doris Schrock and husband Coburn all of Garden City, Missouri. Aunt Bonnie was a favorite of all her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and was loved by all her relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 9, 2005 at Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with interment in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
