Bonnie Henderson

Bonnie was born September 18, 1943 in Martin City Missouri to Leo Calvin and Viola Mae (Rice) Zollman.

Bonnie had two sisters Leona Lowe and Naomi Hestand and one brother Calvin Ray Zollman. Bonnie married Gerald (Jerry) Henderson May 26, 1962 and they had two children Michael E Henderson and Sandra K (Henderson) McIntosh and two grandchildren Makayla McIntosh and Morgan McIntosh and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie and Jerry began their life together in Raymore MO later moving to Appleton City and then to their farm near Blairstown, MO. After Jerry’s passing Bonnie lived in Harrisonville, MO where she lived the remainder of her life.

Bonnie was a devoted wife and mother but also spent years working in other pursuits such as working in business offices, assistant nursing and working on the farm. Wherever she lived she was always active in the churches that she and her family attended. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and if you were lucky you received one of her hand pieced quilts. She will be remembered for her Christmas boxes of candy and cookies and her Halloween popcorn balls were legendary. She also liked games, whether it be watching baseball or football or playing cards, dominos or marbles.

Bonnie could always be counted on to help out with anything. She especially enjoyed working in bible school or helping out with the youth group and helping elderly family and friends with their needs. Bonnie was always happiest spending time with her family and friends and especially her granddaughters and you always had fun when she was around.

Bonnie passed away December 25, 2024 but she touched many people’s lives in many different ways with her loving and caring sprit and no words can ever express how much she will be missed.

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2024 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. 

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2024 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with Interment at Blairstown Cemetery, Blairstown, Missouri.
