Mrs. Brenda Carol (Morris) Rogers, 61, of Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life 1:30 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2009 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City Missouri. Brenda Carol was born on August 27, 1947 the only child of William (Bill) Henry Morris Jr. and Barbara Jean (Ament) Morris.
Brenda was a life long resident of Harrisonville. She attended Rodman Schoolhouse from 1953-1957 prior to attending Harrisonville public schools. She graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1965 and attended William Jewell College in Liberty Missouri.
On December 2, 1967, Brenda was united in marriage to Darrel Douglas Rogers Jr. in San Francisco California.
Brenda was employed as a bookkeeper for the Cassco Shelter Workshop and Cartwright International Van Lines. She was a co-owner of Darrel?s Tire Service and had worked as the manager of the Harrisonville Trade Fair Mall. Brenda was a member of White Shrine of Jerusalem, Eastern Star, and Francoma Family Collectors Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Darrel Douglas Rogers Jr. of the home; two sons, William Douglas (W.D.) Rogers, Grandview Missouri, Phillip Morris Rogers and wife, Jennifer (Martello) Rogers, Harrisonville, Missouri; two grandchildren Brooke Peyton Rogers and Brodie Axl Rogers; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services were held Friday, May 8, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
