Carl Allen Schuster, 71, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born March 3, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Anthony F. and Florence (Krochmal) Schuster. He departed this life at 5:08 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at his home surrounded with love and family.
Carl was a 1961 Mentor, Ohio, High School Graduate. He was a Vietnam Era United States Air Force Veteran.
On September 15, 1990, he was united in marriage to Betty Ann "BJ" (Kisor) Jury in Marion, Ohio.
He was employed as an IT Manager for the Sprint Corporation retiring in 2007. He was a member of the St. Bridget Catholic church where he enjoyed singing in the choir and was active in the Knights of Columbus Council #13113. Carl was also a member of the American Legion Post #243 in Galin, Ohio. His hobbies included playing guitar, golfing, bowling, tennis, and bicycling. He most enjoyed spending time with his family.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Victoria Loren; and two brothers, Richard Schuster and David Schuster.
He is survived by his wife BJ of the home; 3 children, Jackie (and Jamey) Hobbs of Mason, Ohio, Amy Schuster of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Gene Jury of Marion; two sisters, Judie (and Dave) Petit of Marietta, Georgia and Susy Nagy, of Conneaut, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Cameron Loren, Drew Hobbs, Alex Hobbs, Olivia Loren, and Carter Jury. Carl also had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Recitation of the Rosary will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2015, followed by visitation until 4:00 p.m. at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2015, at the St. Bridget Catholic Church. Monsignor Robert Murphy will officiate. Full military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Air Force and the Pleasant Hill V.F.W. Post #3118 Honor Guard. Cremation will be accorded following the service. Inurnment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Bucyrus, Ohio at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Knights of Columbus Council #13113 and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
