Carla Jean Joiner

Carla Jean Joiner of Peculiar, Missouri was born August 27, 1947 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of Carl and Wilma Skinner. She departed this life on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Belton Regional Medical Center, Belton, Missouri at the age of 66 years, 8 months, and 24 days.
On December 20, 1973, Carla was united in marriage to Jerry Wallace Joiner.
Carla was employed as a secretary for ABF in Kansas City, Missouri until her retirement in 2000. She enjoyed NASCAR, going to the casino, playing bingo all over including the Elks Lodge in Harrisonville, Missouri, spending time and eating with her friends, family, and grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Carla was preceded in death by her husband Jerry.
She is survived by 3 sons, Michael A. Roberts, Garden City, Missouri, Matthew S. Joiner and wife Michelle, Drexel, Missouri, Daniel W. Joiner and wife Jennifer, Grain Valley, Missouri; two daughters, Susan K. Dumont and husband Larry, Harrisonville, Missouri, Jennifer McCubbin and husband Terry, Peculiar, Missouri; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Lord's Park in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Cass County Cremation Service, Harrisonville, Missouri.
