Mrs. Carol Ann King of Harrisonville, Missouri was born June 6, 1940 in Los Angeles, California the daughter of Edwin Walter and L. Mildred (Kincaid) Fouts. She departed this life on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 68 years, 11 months and 27 days.
On October 3, 1958, Carol was united in marriage to Donald Ray King in Knoxville, Missouri.
Carol was a homemaker. She formerly owned and operated King?s Sew and Go in Harrisonville from 1975 until 1978. Earlier she was employed as a bank teller for Citizens National Bank, Harrisonville, Kansas City National Bank and Blue Ridge Bank both in Kansas City. She was a member of the Antioch Southern Baptist Church, Harrisonville. Carol enjoyed sewing, crocheting, square dancing, traveling and spending the winters in Texas. She had moved to Harrisonville in 1964.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bobby Riffle.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray King of the home; four daughters, Cheryl Kelly and husband, Jim, Blairstown, Missouri, Donna Parks and husband, Bob, Rockville, Missouri, Lori Higgs and husband, Gary, Garden City, Missouri, Carmen King, Harrisonville, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Jodie, Lisa, Linda, Kelly, Justin, Travis, Trent, Josh and Troy; four great-grandchildren, MacKaylea, Emma, Benjamin and Kylie; special friends, Bill and Mabel Brown, Astoria, Illinois, Carl and Evelyn Stanfill, Amoret, Missouri, Clyde and Opal Wood, LaFeria, Texas; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial at the Byler Cemetery near Crieghton, Missouri.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch Southern Baptist Church Building Fund.
