Carol Kay Brock, age 73 of Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life Friday, April 21, 2017 in Harrisonville, Missouri surround with family and love. She was born February 8, 1944 near Pleasant Hill, Missouri, the daughter of Lee Fulton Carter and Pauline (Collings) Carter.
On July 14, 1963, Carol was united in marriage to Bill Brock in Harrisonville.
Carol was employed by Western Electric, Lee’s Summit, Missouri before starting a family and later retired from the IRS after 25 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Optimist Club, Jaycee’s Wives, 4-H Club and Beta-Sigma-Phi sorority. Carol was a 1962 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School. Carol’s hobby was working with ceramics and was involved with Smokie Squares, which was a camping and square dance club.
Carol is survived by her two sons, Joe Brock and his wife Delilah of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Duane Brock and his wife Kathryn of Overland Park, Kansas; a brother, Gary Carter and his wife Linda of Harrisonville, Missouri; one grandson, Austin; five step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Harrisonville United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice and may be sent to the funeral home.
Final arrangements are under the care of Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
