Charles John Heimlich, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born December 29, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Charles R. and Effie (Swope) Heimlich. He departed this life Saturday, August 4, 2007, at his home near Harrisonville at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 5 days.
On November 23, 1965, Charles was united in marriage to Agnes Maher in Hollywood, California
Charles, along with his wife Agnes, owned and operated The Paint Shoppe, Fullerton, California until their retirement in 1988. Earlier he had been a radio engineer for KCMO Radio Station, Kansas City, KFWB and KLAC Radio Station both of Hollywood, California. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Charles lived in Yorba Linda, California before moving to Harrisonville in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes M. Heimlich of the home; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville. Cremation.
