Charles Henry Sierks Sr., of Urich, Missouri, was born January 20, 1929 in Livingston, Montana the son of Pete Henry and Grace Barbara (Tinsley) Sierks. He departed this life on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 1 day.
On April 23, 1949, Charles was united in marriage to Betty Lou Jenks in Gentry, Arkansas.
Charles was a self-employed carpenter. He loved gardening, woodworking, mowing and working in his yard and his beloved Bassett Hound, Josie. Charles was always there for people and was ready to help someone when they needed something.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sierks on September 5, 1987; a son, Fred Sierks; two brothers, Pete Henry Sierks Jr. and Jimmy Sierks and a sister, Dolly Hall.
Charles is survived by 3 sons, Charles Sierks Jr., Clinton, Missouri, Robert Sierks, Warsaw, Missouri, Kevin Sierks, Clinton, Missouri; 4 daughters, Phyllis Shaddox, Linda Shaddox and Hazel Sierks all of Urich, Missouri, Sandy Albright, Clinton, Missouri; 27 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Falling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, Arkansas.
