Clinton Elbert Wiskur of Archie, Missouri was born September 29, 1934 the son of Nicholas Edward and Anna Pearl (Lafferty) Wiskur. He departed this life on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Adrian Manor, Adrian, Missouri at the age of 78 years and 16 days.
On March 19, 1977, Clinton was united in marriage to Opal Aliene (Herrell) Thomas in Clinton, Missouri.
Clinton was a diesel mechanic for Harmon Bus Company, Grandview, Missouri until his retirement in 1983, Earlier he had been employed as a mechanic for Jays White Service, Lowe Oil, Company and Goslin’s GMC all in Clinton, Missouri. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Archie, Missouri. Clinton enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, attending the Wiskur Family reunions, fishing and hunting. Clinton and Opal traveled the 49 States and had spent the past 19 years wintering in Mission, Texas.
Besides his parents, Clinton was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Debbie Lynn Copeland; four brothers, Lawrence, Frank, Bob and Joe; three sisters, Rose, Winnie and Pauline.
Clinton is survived by his wife, Opal A. Wiskur of the home; two sons, Clinton N. Wiskur, Cole Camp, Missouri, Mike Wiskur and wife, Bonnie, Vacaville, California; two daughters, Dena LaFarge and husband, Rick, Clinton, Missouri, Linda Darlene Morgan, Butler, Missouri; three step-sons, Randy Mendenhall, Cole Camp, Missouri, Gerald E. Thomas and Lacey Thomas both of Harrisonville, Missouri; two step-daughters, Charlene Fidler, Creighton, Missouri, Carolyn McBeath and husband, Mark, Raymore, Missouri; six grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sixteen step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dale Wiskur, Harrisonville, Missouri, Neil Wiskur, Overland Park, Kansas; a sister, Dorothy Kohake, Shawnee Mission, Kansas; other relatives and a host friends.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Burial in Grant Cemetery near Creighton, Missouri.
