Cody Lee Hatfield was born on November 12, 1991 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the son of Larry Hatfield and Marilyn Hatfield. He departed this life on January 11, 2024 in Harrisonville, Missouri. Cody was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Cody was strong willed and stubborn at times but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor.
His passions were animals and older cars. Especially cars that needed TLC. He could fix anything! If Cody found an abandoned animal he would care for it, nurse it back to health and find a home for it. Many times the home he found was his own!
His generosity extended not only to family but to a wide network of friends. Cody was truly a jewel that will be dearly missed by his mom, dad, family and friends.
Cody was preceded in death by his brother Zachary Limbaugh, maternal grandparents Milton and Joan Burwell, paternal grandparents Richard Hevalow and Ruby Hatfield. Cody is survived by his mother Marilyn Hatfield, father Larry Hatfield, sister Gabrielle Voyles and her husband Sam, brother Brandon Limbaugh and his wife Brenda, sister Jaye Lynn Murray and her husband Sean, sister Sarah Cain, aunt Linda Fitzpatrick, and aunt Alicia Wrap and her husband Gary, and a loving extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation with Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
