Coleman Thomas Norris of Garden City, Missouri was born January 11, 1937 in Garden City the son of William Thomas and Violet Etna (Wright) Norris. He departed this life Sunday, August 20, 2006 at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 9 days.
On November 22, 1963, Coleman was united in marriage to Linda Dianne Wood at the First Baptist Church, Garden City, Missouri.
Coleman along with his wife, Linda owned and operated CTN Tax and Bookkeeping Service, Harrisonville, Missouri and was involved in the insurance business for over thirty years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Garden City. Coleman was inducted into the United States Army in March of 1958. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant in September of 1963. He was an outdoor person and enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising cattle. Coleman was a lifelong area resident and a 1954 graduate of Garden City High School.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda on April 20, 2000 and a son, Clinton Coleman Norris on June 13, 1982.
He is survived by a daughter, Nichole Rodriguez and husband, Gilbert, Belton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Sarah and Nicholas; a brother, Bill Norris and wife, Linda, Garden City, Missouri; a sister, Donna Winningham, Harrisonville, Missouri; a niece, Marsha Summers and husband, Randy; three nephews, Aaron Norris and wife, Jamie, Jay and Cole Norris; his uncle, J.C. Norris, Garden City, Missouri; his aunt, June Kump, Raytown, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services were held Friday, August 25, 2006 at Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Cremation.
