Darlene Johnson of Peculiar, Missouri was born December 23, 1935 in Huntsville, Missouri the daughter of Willard and Sylvia (Skinner) Terrill. She departed this life on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at her home in Peculiar at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 22 days.
On November 6, 1952 she was united in marriage to Charles Riley Johnson in Huntsville.
Darlene was employed in document control for Cartwright Van Lines, Grandview, Missouri until her retirement. She enjoyed going to the lake, shopping, attending dinner shows, luncheons with her family and friends and attending graduation parties. Darlene was an avid Elvis collector and had moved to Peculiar in 1969.
Besides her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck on December 2, 2002; her sister, Beverly Anderson.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Susie Blackketter and husband, Derek, Fordland, Missouri; three grandsons, Aaron, Jonathan and Joseph; two sisters, Ruberta Bandy, Harrisonville, Missouri, Jan Wychoff and husband, Curtis, Seattle, Washington; a brother, Dendell Dean Terrill, State of Arizona; other relatives and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life Dinner was held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the Dickey Cottage, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Graveside services was held Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville, Missouri.
Final arrangements entrusted to Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
