Darrell Emerson Sisk, of Garden City, Missouri was born December 19, 1925 in Garden City the son of Buford and Blanche (Russell) Sisk. He departed this life on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at the Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 96 years, 3 months and 22 days.
On February 25, 1946, Darrell was united in marriage to Wanda June Stoll in Garden City, Missouri.
Darrell was a farmer and stockman. He and Wanda lived on a farm west of Garden City until his retirement in 1997 and they moved into Garden City. Darrell was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Garden City American Legion #498. He was a member of the Heart of Life Church, where he served for several years as a deacon. He enjoyed fishing, turkey and deer hunting, word search puzzles, being outdoors and took great pride in keeping a well-manicured yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Wanda Sisk of the home; a son, Bruce Sisk and wife Sharyn, Branson, Missouri; a daughter, Nina Sisk, Calhoun, Missouri; 3 grandchildren, Timothy, Megan and Mackenzie; 5 great-grandchildren, Dameon, Trenton, Wyatt, Grady and Stella; a great-great-granddaughter, Cora; his sister, Helen Famuliner, Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Heart of Life Church, 96 Old Highway 7, Garden City, Missouri. Burial in the Garden City Cemetery with Military Honors.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Of Life Church Memorial Fund.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
