David William Burger III, of Creighton, Missouri was born December 8, 1934 in Harrisonville, Missouri the son of David William and Ollie (Dxyes) Burger II. He departed this life
Thursday, January 11, 2007 at his home near Creighton at the age of 72 years, 1 month and 3 days.
On June 16, 1983, David was united in marriage to Eva Mae Friend in Arlington, Virginia.
David was employed as a supervisor for Allied Signal, Kansas City, Missouri from 1957 until his retirement on March 27, 1992. He was a member of the Aerospace Union #314 and was an Army veteran. David loved to farm, the outdoors, hunt, fish and spend time with his family. He had lived in Harrisonville before moving to Creighton in the 1980s.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mae on July 7, 1995; a brother, Edwin and three sisters, Sadie, Pauline and Georgia.
He is survived by a son, Devin Burger and his companion, Barbara Smith, Creighton, Missouri; two step-sons, Doug Osborne and Dean Scharnhorst both of Harrisonville, Missouri; three step-daughters, Dinah Ringer and husband Howard, Dardanell, Arkansas, Dorothy Dow and husband Brandon, Butler, Missouri, Sabrina McCubbin and husband Paul, Harrisonville, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Burger and Jerry Burger and a sister, Betty Burger all of Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A memorial service was held Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
