David J. Catron

David Joe Catron of Warsaw, Missouri formerly of Garden City, Missouri was born January 26, 1937 in Garden City, Missouri the son of Frank Lafayette and Mary Margarit (Moretine) Catron. He departed this life on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Lincoln Community Care Center, Lincoln, Missouri surrounded by love and family at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 23 days.

On April 30, 1960 David was united in marriage to Francoise Yvonne Couture in Burlington, Vermont.

David was employed as a machine setter for Western Electric, Lee’s Summit, Missouri until his retirement in March of 1995. He was an United States Air Force veteran of the Korea and Vietnam Wars. David was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and American Legion Post 217 both of Warsaw, Missouri, the Telephone Pioneers, life member of the NRA and Bass Master’s. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors and was an avid mushroom hunter.  David had lived in Garden City before moving to Warsaw in 1999.

Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Catron and his sister, Darlene Morris.

David is survived by his wife, Fran Catron of the home; two sons, Steve Catron (Connie), Urich, Missouri, Donnie Catron (Cheryl), Lee’s Summit, Missouri; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; his brother, Kenneth Catron, (Judy), Excelsior Springs, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Warsaw Missouri from 9:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. with a Rosary service at 10:15 a.m.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the church.

A graveside service with military honors will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 31, 2022 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church, Warsaw, Missouri, Benton County Hospice or to the Lincoln Community Care Center may be sent in care of Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.
