David Frank Fredrickson, 70, of Belton, Texas went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2020, at his home due to a tragic fire. He was born on February 3, 1950 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. He is the son of Charles Fredrickson and Inez Norton Fredrickson.
Dave grew up in Pleasant Hill and graduated in 1968. He then went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia. In 1987 he married Dr. (Colo. Retired) Rosemary Engle. They were married for 22 years.
He loved to buy and sell real estate and traveled extensively. He enjoyed nature , loved to hike and work on his property. At one time he took a picture of a litter of bobcat kittens that was published in the local paper. He wrote several articles that were published in USA Today. He was very close to the Lord. He also lived in Germany, Colorado, and Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Inez Fredrickson.
He is survived by two brothers, Charles and Wayne Fredrickson of Harrisonville, MO, and three sisters, Joanne Russell of Santa Cruz, CA, Carol Fredrickson of Belton, MO and Sonia Dexter of Harrisonville, MO, and numerous cousins. Our brother and friend will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Interment of ashes will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery and his longtime home, River House in Belton, Texas.
