Mikkel David Shaddox of Urich, Missouri was born January 6, 1946 in Harrison, Arkansas the son of William Devoe and Anna Marie (Kimmell) Shaddox. He departed this life Thursday, July 27, 2006 at his home near Urich at the age of 60 years, 6 months and 21 days.
On, February 18, 1972, David was united in marriage to Linda Lou Sierks in Colcord, Oklahoma.
David was employed as a rough in carpenter until his retirement in February of 2004. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. David enjoyed spending time with his daughters, grandchildren, visiting with friends and fishing. He grew up in Peculiar, Missouri and had moved to Urich in 1982.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rosetta Chaney.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Shaddox of the home; two daughters, Marcia Shaddox, Urich, Missouri, Shannon Higgs and husband, Jerry, Topeka, Kansas; four grandchildren; Freddie, B.J., Mia and Elijah; two brothers, Bill Shaddox, Urich, Missouri, Ronnie Shaddox, Warsaw, Missouri; two sisters, Sandy Knisley, Peculiar, Missouri, Margaret White, Panama City, Florida; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 31, 2006 at Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with interment in the Grant Cemetery near Creighton, Missouri.
Family suggests contributions may be made to Twin Lakes Hospice.
