Dean "Buster" Fletcher

Dean (Buster) Estel Fletcher of Dayton, MO was born June 5, 1957, son of Mary Francine Bryant and Billy Dean Fletcher.

Buster had a passion for fishing and logging. He spent most of his days working, even as a child, if he was not logging you could find him anywhere along the Grand River catching catfish.

Buster was a trustworthy man and was a stranger to nobody. He could build anything and cook anything. If anyone ever needed help, he was there. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix.

“There is a grand river in heaven, there is a great big flathead that he is going to chase. Hand fishing is legal, and crank phoning too. I have a good idea about what Buzz is going to do. Understand in Heaven there is nothing to fix, so Buster will be doing what he loves somewhere out in the sticks. We will miss that man but remember this, if you’re on the grand river, Buster is amidst.” – J.D. Mattingley

There are many stories Buster could tell as he lived a very adventurous life and Blessed are those who were a part of those adventures.

When His Grandchildren were born, they were then the center of his world, and he did anything and everything for them.

Buster is survived by the love of his life Lisa Ann Martin who he married on November 10, 1985, and their 2 children Jessie Deane Fletcher and Hannah Elizabeth Fletcher; sisters Debra, Tina, Patty; and brothers David, and Troy, 5 grandchildren, Jackson Petty, Sadie Hough, Adalynn Hough, Damic Coon, and Buzz McMahan.

Buster is preceded in death by his parents Billy Dean and Mary Francine Kimberlin Fletcher.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Cremation with Inurnment at Dayton Cemetery, Dayton, Missouri at a later date. 

Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
