Delores Marie Bohrer, of Springfield, Missouri, was born June 26, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Albert Samuel and Doris (Fletcher) Bohrer. She departed this life Saturday, January 3, 2009, at the Christian Health Care West, Springfield at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 7 days.
Delores was employed as a clerk for the IRS in Kansas City for 31 years before her retirement. Earlier she had been employed with the Social Security Office in Kansas City. After her retirement, Delores was employed at the Cassco Area Workshop, Harrisonville. She was a member of Federal Employees Union and a 1962 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School, Peculiar, Missouri. Delores loved to read, go to movies and embroidery.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a sister, Phyllis L. Lyon, Sparta, Missouri; a brother, Gerald Bohrer, Adrian, Missouri; a niece, Christina Fisher; a nephew, Jeffrey Lyon Jr.; two great-nieces, Miranda Fisher and Eve Killinger; a great-nephew, Austin Fisher; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial at Sharon Cemetery, Drexel, Missouri.
