Denise F. Ortbals

Denise F. Ortbals, 66, of Harrisonville, Missouri passed away on August 27, 2024 after her battle with cancer.

Denise was born on October 1, 1957 to William & Loretta Winston in Augsburg, Germany. She was a lifelong resident of Harrisonville, Missouri and spent the last 30 years with the love of her life & husband, Tony Ortbals. She was a member of the Worship Center for 34 years and loved her church family very much. 

Denise loved life so much and was always up for an adventure. She was a passionate animal lover and when She wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, She could be found hanging out with her beloved Irish Wolfhounds. As a boy mom, “Nana” always looked forward to her trips down to Florida to get some “girl time” with her granddaughters. 

Denise was predeceased by Her Father & Mother She is survived by Her Husband, Tony Ortbals of Pleasant Hill , Mo; Her #1 brother Bill Winston of Lenexa, Kansas ; Five sons, Tucker Painter (wife Ashley) of Panama City Beach, Fl.; Austin Painter of Groveland Ca.; Jason Ortbals of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; Ryan Ortbals of Kansas City, Mo.; Nick Ortbals (Steven, Life partner) of Kansas City , Mo . Five Grandchildren Sydney & Sterling Painter; Grace, Liam, & Lucas Ortbals extended family & friends. 

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
