Dennis Ray Brillhart of Garden City, Missouri was born August 8, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Merle Dean Brillhart and Dorothy Lou (Clarkson) Brillhart Harter. He departed this life on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at his home near Garden City at the age of 56 years, 8 months and 3 days.
Dennis was employed as an auto body and paint specialist for several body shops in the area. He was baptized at an early age in the Baptist faith. Dennis enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, boating, skiing and playing and joking with his nieces and nephews. He was a lifelong area resident.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father Dean Brillhart; his step-father, James R. Harter; his sister, Barbara Sue Brillhart.
He is survived by his mother, Dottie Harter, Garden City, Missouri; two sisters, Diana Blankenship and husband, Larry, Lebanon, Missouri, Susan Shepherd, Bolivar, Missouri; nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside services were held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Dennis Brillhart Memorial Fund.
Funeral services are under the direction of Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
