Donald Gelsinger, 71, Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at his home. He was born January 19, 1940 in Jerico Springs, Missouri the son of A.J. and Lola (Tullis) Gelsinger. He graduated from Stockton High School and attended Pittsburg State University. On June 25, 1961, Donald was united in marriage to Jean Roy in Dade County, Missouri. Donald retired as a truck driver from Safeway Stores and served over 30 years on the water board for PWSD #4. He was also a sports fan, having played football and basketball in high school and college, continuing to follow sports on television. His passion however, was farming: he raised and showed cattle at The American Royal and farmed organically for many years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother and 5 sisters. Donald is survived by his wife, Jean Gelsinger of the home; a sister, Earlene Neeley, Austin, Texas; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
A graveside service was held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Anna Edna Cemetery, Jerico Springs, Missouri.
