Donna Lee David, of Belton, Missouri, was born March 23, 1942 in Thornfield, Missouri the daughter of Eldon and Laura Adella (Treat) Lawson. She went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at her home surrounded by family and friends at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 13 days.
Donna was employed in the office of Yellow Freight, Overland Park, Kansas doing various jobs until her retirement. She was a devout Christian who loved Jesus very much and was known as a “Prayer Warrior” for her family and friends. Donna was a member of the Heartland Baptist Fellowship, Harrisonville, Missouri where she was involved with the Brazil Prayer Team. She loved to travel, especially taking mission trips, gardening and growing flowers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eldon Lawson.
Donna is survived by her son, Dale David and wife Debbie, Raytown, Missouri; a daughter, Justine Woodall and husband Jerry, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; four grandchildren, Logan, Luke, Megan and Hannah; her mother, Laura Lawson, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; a brother, Bob Lawson, Kingsville, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday September 9, 2013 at the Heartland Baptist Fellowship Church, Harrisonville, Missouri with Cremation to follow.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Baptist Mission Fund.
