Dorothy Lee Gregg

Mrs. Dorothy L. Gregg of Creighton, Missouri was born October 14, 1920 in Creighton the daughter of George Lee and Edith Marie (Staley) Stewart. She departed this life on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 29 days. On September 2, 1938, Dorothy was united in marriage to Kenneth Lindley Gregg in Clinton, Missouri.
Dorothy was employed 38 years as a bank teller for the Bank of Creighton until her retirement in 1985. She was a faithful member of the Creighton Christian Church and had been a Sunday School teacher since 1949. Dorothy was a 1938 graduate of Creighton High School and was a lifelong area resident. She was the assistant cook for the first hot lunch program for the Creighton School. Dorothy loved to cook, sew and work with her garden and flowers.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth on April 6, 2008; two brothers, Jack Stewart on November 6, 1983 and Billie Stewart on March 22, 2002.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Becky Stewart, Creighton, Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
