Dorris Ruth

Mrs. Dorris Marie Ruth, of Roeland Park, Kansas, was born July 3, 1924 in Litchfield, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Blanche (Hefley) Weatherford. She departed this life Thursday, March 29, 2007, Pleasant Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center, Pleasant Hill, Missouri at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 26 days.
On November 21, 1942, Dorris was united in marriage to Earl Myron Ruth.
Dorris was a homemaker. She was a member of the Southridge Presbyterian Church, Roeland Park, Kansas. Dorris had retired to Meza, Arizona in 1985. She loved to spend time with her family, sew and square dance.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ruth on October 14, 1994; a daughter, Donna Harrington; a sister, Betty Knez.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Walters-Rafter and husband Tom, Raymore, Missouri; a son, Ron Ruth and wife Debbie, Blue Springs, Missouri; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Weatherford, Ann Arbor, Michigan; other relatives and friends.
Cremation. A memorial service was held Monday, April 2, 2007 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
