Dwight Norman, 87, of Harrisonville, Mo. passed away on Sept. 19, 2008 at Golden Years Care Services in Harrisonville, Mo. He was born on July 21, 1921, in Birdsong, Mo., the third child of Dwight Norman, Sr. and Bertha (Wood) Norman.
Mr. Norman attended elementary school at Union Hall, just north of Harrisonville and graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1939.
In October, 1941, he married Ethel McKean in Las Vegas, NV.
He was employed by Boyle Meat Company, where he was an award winning salesman. After his retirement, he was employed part time at the Family Center in Harrisonville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Norman, and a sister, Virginia Kimbrell.
Surviving are his three sons, Randy Norman, Parkville; Michael Norman and his wife, Patti; James Norman and his wife, Ronda, Harrisonville; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and special friend, Dorothy Thomas, Harrisonville.
Services were held September 24, 2008 at Dickey Funeral Home in Harrisonville, with Deacon Ron Strong officiating. Entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, MO
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice.
