Edna was born in Strafford, Missouri, one of 7 children born to Albert and Marjorie (Peyton) West. Shortly after her birth the family moved to Garden City, Missouri.
Edna married Earl Wayne Barrett of Archie, Missouri in 1949 and this union produced two sons.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, John, James and Paul West; 3 sisters, Imogene Graves, Mary Sue Johnson and Betty Sparks.
Edna is survived by two sons, Ronald Barrett and wife Patty, Thompsons Station, Tennessee and Dennis Barrett and wife Ann, Independence, Missouri; several grandchildren, Justin Barrett, Melissa Janowski and husband Doug, Kyle Barrett and wife Lacey, Kelsey Barrett and Trey Williams; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Connor Janowski and Lilly and Deklen Barrett; other relatives and friends.
A private family graveside will be held at the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
