Edward Wayne Ganey of Archie, Missouri was born March 13, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Edward Earl and Nancy Elaine (Grigsby) Ganey.  He departed this life on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri surrounded by love and family at the age of 63 years, 9 months and 22 days.

On July 21, 2001 Ed was united in marriage to Linda Mae Thomas in Harrisonville, Missouri.

Ed was employed as a dry wall journeyman for J III Enterprises in Lenexa, Kansas. He had attended Everett Community Church near Archie, Missouri. Ed enjoyed writing poetry and being outdoors. He had lived in Belton, Missouri before moving to Archie, Missouri.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda on November 9, 2015, his son, Edward Wayne Ganey II; a brother, Daryl Ganey and a sister, Regina Ganey.

Ed is survived by 2 daughters, Krishina Ganey-Veliz, Arizona, Amberlynn Ganey, St. Louis, Missouri; 2 step-sons, Eric Paul, Independence, Missouri, Stephen Smith, Kansas City, Missouri; a step-daughter, Mia Cottingham, Belton, Missouri; grandchildren; 3 great-grand-daughters; his brother, Dennis Ganey, Archie, Missouri;

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2024 at Dickey Funeral Home with internment at Austin Cemetery, Archie, Missouri.
