Eliza Jane Lamb, of Odessa, Missouri was born August 21, 1927 in Mountain Home, Arkansas the daughter of Robert Jefferson and Eva Susan (Owen) Studdard. She departed this life on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at her son’s home near Garden City, Missouri at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 10 days.
On April 23, 1947, Jane was united in marriage to George Joseph Lamb in Yellville, Arkansas.
Jane, along with her husband, owned and operated Lamb Cabinet Shop, Independence, Missouri from 1958 until 1999 and in 1999 she moved to the farm to take over the farming operation. She was also employed at Sears & Roebuck, Kansas City, Missouri for 28 years and later was co-owner with her son, Jim, J&M Firearm Training. Jane was of the Baptist faith. She was known as a hard worker and enjoyed farming, gardening, canning and sometimes mechanic. Jane was a perfectionist and a person of integrity and took pride in her work and family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Lamb on October 19, 1988; a brother and two half brothers.
Jane is survived by three sons, Larry Lamb and wife Carol, Garden City, Missouri, Glenn Lamb, Ft. Scott, Kansas, James Lamb, Odessa, Missouri; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Blairstown Cemetery, Blairstown, Missouri.
