Elmer Koll

Elmer Carl Koll, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born August 10, 1909 in Walnut, Iowa, the son of Charles and Mary (Thiessen) Koll. He departed this life Friday, October 26, 2007, University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas at the age of 98 years, 2 months and 16 days.
On January 10, 1935, Elmer was united in marriage to Orienne Oleta Kerchevall in Kansas City, Missouri.
Elmer was a farmer and stockman until his retirement in 1971. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Past President and member of the Lions Club, Raymore, Missouri and served many years on the Raymore School Board. Elmer loved to play Cribbage, pool, fish, cards and ride his four-wheeler. He had lived in Raymore before moving to Harrisonville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan N. Koll; a brother, Lawrence Koll; a sister, Elsie Best and an infant sister, Ester Mae Koll.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Orienne Koll of the home; a son, Richard L. Koll and wife Jo Ann, Lincoln, Missouri; two daughters, Joyce A. Moeller and husband Gene, Harrisonville, Missouri, Sandra S. Hoover and husband Joe, Bolivar, Missouri; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Mertz, Atlantic, Iowa; other relatives and many friends.
