Ervin William Rogers, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born August 29, 1946 in Taney County, Missouri the son of E.G. and Loretta (Persinger) Rogers. He departed this life on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Lee’s Summit, Missouri at the age of 67 years, 2 months and 7 days.
Ervin was employed as a Truck Driver for several different companies in the area. Earlier he was the operator of the Blue Liner Café in Waverly, Missouri. Ervin was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and sports.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Walter Lee Parks.
Ervin is survived by two sons, Kenny Rogers and wife Melina and David Rogers and wife Kelly all of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; three daughters, Tracy Waterman, Marshall, Missouri, Dana Lovelace and husband Berkeley and Shari Rogers all of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his mother, Loretta Rogers and brother, Douglas Rogers both of Marshall, Missouri; his best friend, Frank DeMoro, Harrisonville, Missouri; his dog, Boo-Boo; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, Waverly, Missouri.
Services are under the direction of the Cass County Cremation Service, Harrisonville, Missouri.
