Ethel Mae Huiatt, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on December 27, 2014 at 91 years of age. She was born in Gardener, Ill., on April 26, 1923 to Will and Bessie Osborn.
She is survived by her daughter, Gwen Mackey, Battlefield, Mo.; two sons, Chester Phelps (Carol) of Vista, Calif. and Ron Huiatt (Mary) of Ashland, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Corey Huiatt of North KC, Mo., Christine Smeall of Overland Park, Kan., Loyde Vest of Independence, Mo., Tyler Mackey of Springfield, Mo., Michael Mackey of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Laurie Gutwein of Fallbrook, Calif., Lacey Shaw of San Diego, Calif., John Godfrey IV of Ashland, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Dale Osborn of Myrtle Creek, Ore., Harold Osborn of Grandview, Mo., and Frank Osborn of Archie, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald (Red) Huiatt; son, Donald (Dick) Huiatt; her parents and nine brothers and sisters.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with visitation from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Inurnment in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri following the service.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
