Etta M. Stackhouse

Etta Marie Stackhouse of Garden City, Missouri was born, September 21, 1946 in Garden Grove, California the daughter of Frank and Martha Viola (Prater) Mackedanz. She departed this life on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas surrounded by love and family at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 4 days.

On April 24, 1964 Etta was united in marriage to Howard Dale Stackhouse in Peculiar, Missouri.

Etta was a homemaker. She was a member of Dayton Community Church, Garden City, Missouri and treasurer of the Stepping Stone Garden Club, Warsaw, Missouri. Etta enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, her flowers especially her lilies, wood crafts, sewing and quilting.

Besides her parents, Etta was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Sue Ammerman and a brother, Frank Mackedanz.

Etta is survived by her husband, Dale Stackhouse of the home; 2 sons, Bill Stackhouse (Deborah), Holden, Missouri, Steve Stackhouse (Stephanie), Clinton, Arkansas; 7 grandchildren, Cynthia Ammerman, Daniel Ammerman, Sheri Stockdall, Jon Stackhouse, Dallas Stackhouse, Tasha Boshers and Mikaila Stackhouse; 3 great-grandchildren, Carson Stackhouse, Oliver Stockdall and Liliana Stackhouse; a brother, Bill Mackedanz, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a sister, Barbara Aswegan, Bellingham, Washington; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Inurnment will be in the Peculiar Cemetery, Peculiar, Missouri.

The family will receive friends at the Dayton Community Church, Garden City, Missouri after the inunrment service in the Peculiar Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisonville Ministerial Alliance Shepherd's Food Pantry.
