Flora M. Strauss

Flora Mae Strauss of Pleasant Hill, Missouri was born July 16, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas the daughter of Holmer and Edna Ruth (Green) Via. She departed this life on Friday, June 5, 2015 at her home in Pleasant Hill surrounded by love and family at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 20 days.
Flora was employed as a molder for Mission Plastics in Grandview, Missouri. She enjoyed collecting jewelry, taking art classes, drawing and reading. Flora had lived in Grandview and Raymore, Missouri before moving to Pleasant Hill.
Besides her parents, Flora was preceded in death by her grandson, Christian Lee Strauss; two brothers, Marvin and Jackie; a sister, Margaret Morris.
Flora is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Holmes and husband, John, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; six grandchildren, Chris, Crystal, John, Carolyn, Samantha and Jessica; thirteen great-grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Lillian, Gabriel, Titus, Arron, Steven, Jeremy, Jordan, Jasmyn, Brandon, Dillon and Jessica; a sister, Jonna Lantz, Highland Ranch, Colorado; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at the funeral home.
