Frederick Lee Lemka, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born October 1, 1941 in Independence, Missouri the son of Fred Frank and Maudie Mae (Crow) Lemka. He departed this life Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 70 years and 29 days.
On June 24, 1966, Frederick was united in marriage to Jeneen Sue Beck in Independence, Missouri.
Frederick was employed at the General Motors Leed’s Plant, Kansas City, Missouri doing various jobs until his retirement in 1989. During his time at General Motors, Frederick was a Dairy Farmer for 5 years and after his retirement was employed at MFA Oil, Harrisonville for 10 years. Frederick enjoyed going to the boat and making trips to Las Vegas, but his greatest love was his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Lemka.
Frederick is survived by his wife, Jeneen Lemka of the home; two sons, Frederick “JR” Lemka and wife Sandi, Jerry Lemka and wife Jessica and a daughter, Carrie Gist and husband Rod all of Harrisonville, Missouri; 10 grandchildren and one on the way; a brother, Leonard Lemka, Eldorado Springs, Missouri; three sisters, Jeannette Moss, Latour, Missouri, Lennie Hessenflow, Independence, Missouri, Bernice Mitchell, Lone Jack, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery near Latour, Missouri.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the funeral home.
Family suggests memorial contributions my be made to the American Cancer Society.
