Phillip George Pappas, of Butler, Missouri, was born September 7, 1987 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Nicholas Andrew Pappas and Christina Diane (Eldred) Pappas Wyatt. He departed this life Monday, August 8, 2005 as a result of an automobile accident near Ballard, Missouri at the age of 17 years, 11 months and 1 day.
George was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Excape Contracting, Columbia, Missouri for the past 2 years. He had attended Ballard High School near Butler, Missouri. George enjoyed the outdoors, his truck, fishing, working on cars, horseback riding, hanging out with his friends and riding his seadoo.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Christina and Garry Wyatt of the home; his father and step-mother, Nicholas and Carol Pappas, Lawton, Oklahoma; four brothers, Justin Holmes and William Pappas both of Lawton, Oklahoma, Seth Wyatt, Harrisonville, Missouri, Brandon Wyatt of the home; two sisters, Annie Pappas and Jenna Wyatt both of the home; his maternal grandparents, Clifford and Paula Eldred, Wheatland, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Sharon Connely, Holden, Missouri; maternal great-grandmother, Mildred Eldred, Macks Creek, Missouri, maternal great-grandfather, Paul Hays, Wheatland, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Phillip and Mary Pappas, Independence, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Mary Holmes, Osceola, Missouri, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were Friday, August 12, 2005 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Grant Cemetery near Creighton, Missouri.
