Gerald Graef

Gerald Graef of Harrisonville, Missouri was born on June 7, 1926 near Ballard, Missouri the son of Rolla and Maude Mildred (Yeates) Graef. He departed this life on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Benchmark Healthcare, Harrisonville at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 7 days.
On June 23, 1969, Gerald was united in marriage to Paulina May Duncan of Grain Valley, Missouri in Independence, Missouri.
Gerald was a farmer and stockman and also was employed by Weeks Construction, Independence, Missouri for 18 years. He was a member of the Creighton Christian Church and had lived near Creighton, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville.
Besides his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, Merle Dean Graef and his sister, Shirley Shubert.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Paulina Graef of the home; his sister, Ellen Allen, Harrisonville, Missouri; two nieces, Tricia Van Black and husband, John, Harrisonville, Missouri, Debbie Strickland, Harrisonville, Missouri; two nephews, Dean Graef and wife, Linda, Raytown, Missouri, Scott Graef and wife, Tina, Harrisonville, Missouri; seven great nieces and nephews; two great-great-nieces; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Blue Springs, Missouri Cemetery.
Family suggests contributions may be made to the Creighton Christian Church memorial fund, Creighton, Missouri.
