Geraldine ""Jerry"" Faye Linthicum, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born August 1, 1930 in Ketchum, Oklahoma, the daughter of George McHaffie and Wilma (Howell) Gahm. She departed this life Sunday, January 28, 2007, at her home in Harrisonville at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 27 days.
On July 21, 1947, Jerry was united in marriage Robert ""Bob"" Paul Linthicum in Carthage, Missouri.
Jerry was a partner for life with Bob and together they had owned a Body shop and a recreation center both in Harrisonville. She had moved to Harrisonville in 1957. Jerry loved to read, and go to the races at Adrian Speedway, every Sunday she had to know who won. People knew her as ""Grandma"".
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob on May 26, 1998; a son, Roger Linthicum on December 17, 2000; two grandsons, Dennis Paul Linthicum on January 26, 1972 and Curtis Brian Linthicum on February 12, 1994; two brothers, Richard and JB McHaffie.
She is survived by a son, Dennis Linthicum and wife Nancy and a daughter, Cathy Mead and husband Jerry all of Harrisonville, Missouri; granddaughters, Rachel Dawson and companion Adam, Adrian, Missouri, Paula Carpenter and husband Nathan and Carrie Weiken all of Harrisonville, Missouri; grandsons, CJ Mead, Harrisonville, Jason Linthicum and wife Kressy, Grain Valley, Missouri; four great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; a brother, Robert McHaffie, Fairland, Oklahoma; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A memorial graveside service and inurnment were held Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice and may be left at the funeral home.
