Gloria Gladys Mainard Kimball Pouzar
On September 11th, 2020, at the age of 88 years old, Gloria Gladys Pouzar passed away at Beautiful Savior Home, Assisted Living in Belton Mo, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Gloria was born at home in Garden City, Mo on February 8th, 1932 the daughter of Albert Henry Mainard and Opal Elizabet (Hood) Mainard. She started school at Peach Grove, and graduated high school at Garden City High, Garden City Mo.
After high school she married Leslie Kimbrell, and worked for AT&T. They divorced in 1972, with no children. She later married, and divorced, Joseph Frank (Jay) Pouzar. Gloria retired from AT&T, and later worked and retired from Unity Village in Lee's Summit Mo.
Gloria had an amazing life. She traveled alot, flew to European countries, planted plants, and had a green thumb, loved traveling in her RV with her sister Doris, and gambling at the casinos..she gave to charity, was a warm loving woman, and loved to eat catfish!
Gloria was preceded in death by brothers Arthur Henry Mainard, Ory Aubrey Mainard, Sidney Dennis Mainard, and sisters Doris Alberta Meads, Dorothy June Burns, Elda Mae (Elton) Crust.
Survivors include many nieces, and nephews, and a huge amount of friends.
Cremation. A Memorial Graveside will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
